1951 F1 exhaust

Hi again, any recommendations on a duel exhaust kit for this truck?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
Flat head 8 and just looking for something simple out the back.<o></o>
I already have a 2" dia pipe from the header that comes back about 12".<o></o>
If anyone has any ideas that would be great?<o></o>
thanks,<o></o>

I am running fenton headers into smithy glasspacks. It sounds good but a little quiet for me. I just got it hooked up this week so iam going to wait a little bit before i decide to change it.

I assume your Fentons aren't cast iron? I had a set and couldn't get them to clear the steering box, no matter what I tried. A shame too because they only cost me $10 and were polished and chromed (not in good shape tho).

Already did, they're on another vehicle!

Not to stray from topic, but I got them from the body shop that did my truck's paint. While I was there on day, they said "we found a bunch of old stuff out back under the cottonwood tree, and need to get rid of it." Went back and looked, and under a 2-ft deep pile of rotten leaves, there were 2 Model A 4-bangers, a chromed quick-change rear end, the Fentons were attached to a totally ruined 59AB, and some other stuff.

Back to topic, Mike, a pair of Smithy's steel-paks, 22" long, and 1-3/4" pipes out the back is a great-sounding system.

Yea they are cast, but I wasn't aware of the clearance issue until I went to put them on. After moving the steering box out 1/2 inch and a little grinding they clear by 1/8 inch. I don't think I will see too many trucks with fenton headers so to me it is pretty cool.
