Belt tensioner swap?

It looks like i'll need a belt tensioner soon, i have read somewhere here that you can swap out the a tensioner from a superduty. is that right? if so what do i need to do the make the swap and what belt would i need to get to match up? Thankful fof any and all ifo y'all can give me.

I think the tensioners are the same, its the pulleys that they changed around.

Actually there are:
OEM tensioner (short arm)
Upgraded Tensioner (longer arm)
SD tensioner (with two pulleys and you have to mod the bracket)
Ill be here with more

The dual pulley tensioner is a real nice upgrade. I put one on mine and its the bees knees. You will need a longer belt. Might as well replace the other wheels while your there. I'll try to dig up the part number of the Goodyear belt I used and post up.

I have a spare bracket ready to be modded and the new duel tensioner sitting here. I just have to get a new belt and get to it one of these days.

I would definitely go with the dual tensioner. It just works better than the OBS one.
The way I look at it, Ford changed it for a reason.

Goodyear Gatorbelt 4081223 is what I used. Just a bit longer IIRC than other belts for the same application. Worked out very well.
