Best possible way to store spare parts????

I bought a parts truck and as I inspect, clean, and oil (as needed and different types of oil for different applications ) the engine and transmission for storage I was wondering what would be a good way to store things. I plan on cleaning and inspecting all parts and fixing anything that needs fixing along the way. Mainly I was wondering if I should get caps and store the injection pump filled with atf or diesel cleen. The current injection pump in my truck acts up every now and then, I want to use it as long as I can before replacement. All parts will be put into a plastic container or bag to prevent dust collecting or anything else getting spilled on them. Also if any one knows a good write-up on rebuilding the heads please post a link.

I'd coat everything in engine oil or spray grease; oil does a great job at preventing corrosion on anything.

IP... hm, I wonder about just using 30w non-detergent motor oil(or thinner); something that's not likely to dissolve or break down seals over time.

For drive shafts, transmission splines and exposed metal surfaces i use Chain lube. It's a spray on grease basically. Seems to stick and stay stuck better than any oil and prevents flash rusting. For engines i have had to pull the heads on outisde i have coated the cylinders with grease and the block deck with grease then stretched saran wrap over it to cover all the ports and it sticks with grease to make an air tight seal to the cylinders.

Fuel injectors i keep in jars with Seafoam
