Junkyard fun.

Today I picked up some things from the junkyard, half of which is what I need, the other half being what I don't need.

-1980 Ranger Lariat Seat=Need
- Two 80-86 Black seat back pivot side covers=Need
- One 4x2 factory Emblem=Don't need
-Factory shaft style radio support plate=Possible Need in the future.
-87-91 Custom and F-Series Emblems=Don't need,but cool to have
-80-86 Dome Light cover(will fit Later F-Series and Rangers too)=Don't need,I have two now
-80-92 Cargo Light=Don't need,I have 5 of these.
-82-86 random Radio Connectors=Need speaker connector, power connector no.
-82-86 Top Pull Door lock Mechanisms=NEED.

The seat was what I really wanted. It's in pretty good shape except for two rips and a little grease. It was definitely a solo driver truck, the passenger side is barely worn.I picked it up from the same truck as my woodgrain door panel trim. The Carpet in the truck is a very dark blue,i'm thinking of picking it up too next week.

If anybody needs anything from my don't need lists,PM me and i'd be happy to work out a deal.I don't even know why I grab some of this stuff, but oh well.I have it if it's needed.

Pics:

Seat before clean

Other stuff.

Seat after clean.I only cleaned the vinyl, haven't done the cloth yet.

Thanks,it's not much but i've pretty much picked apart the trucks at the local junkyards.Just ask JGreen.lol.

The seat was definitely needed for my Ranger Lariat swap. They're rare,as they were only offered in 1980-1981.1978-1979 Ranger Lariat seats are similar but are still different.

i'm curious do your junkyards allow you to bring in or offer the ability to use corded power tools? the one near me does not. i'm in the process of trying to get a piece of the frame that holds the gas tank that's riveted on -- off. trying to get through that stuff with battery operated drills and grinders is taking forever and ever.................... and ever.

I'm not sure,i've never tried. But ome of them offer to pull the stuff off for you for a little extra cost.Usually they torch around the part and then let you get the excess off later.
