Dead Battery Issue, 2004 E350

Hey guys,

My shop cube van keeps killing the batteries over night, we replaced both batteries, new alt and tested that the computers were turning off after an hour or so, all things seem to check out ok, but the problem happens intermittenly and i'm running out of ideas.

Thanks!

Hook up a multi-meter and measure the amp draw between the positive battery terminal and the cable to see if it is discharging. Then move wires or pull fuses to see when it stops.

been there, done that. At rest the truck draws .02 amps, it also has dual batteries mounted on the pass side frame rail.

You have used the correct diagnostic, but as with anything else, trying to diagnose a problem when it is not occurring is all but impossible, unless you can find a way to replicate it.
