quick question on the OEM nav unit

for the stock nav unit, can you hook up a regular-style bluetooth (non-sync) and an aftermarket rear-view camera?

Ford sells a bluetooth unit for the nav kit but it is $$$ and supposedly not worth the price.

And no you cannot install an aftermarket camera to the nav unit because it does not have inputs. It can be done though with the addition of a lockpick.

alright thanks.
i was going back and forth on which to buy. i think that answers my question.

i'll have to bite the bullet and buy an aftermarket one soon. there's one on ebay (seller navitouch) that looks pretty nice and is supposed to be a direct replacement. it's $650 though.

what year is your Expy?

I put a JVC AVX-820 DVD unit into mine with Bluetooth. That part alone was $450. Doesn't have NAV though.

it it's a name brand unit with Nav and Bluetooth, $650 is a pretty decent price. I would avoid anything that you can't immediately recognize the name of
