'57-'63 Ford Truck Parts & Illus. Catalogs - Last Revision?

Hey Guys,
I've got an opportunity to procure a set of the red & black, original bound 1957-1963 FORD TRUCK Parts and Accessories catalogs; Book 1 of 2 (Form AF7697-1), Book 2 of 2 (Form AF 7697-2) and the Illustrations Catalog (Form AF 7698). They are have a 1970 copyright date.

Now unless my understanding is wrong - which it very well could be - there were many years that these books were published, and the last year of publication would have the last part number revision from those parts mentioned. With that being said, would this 1970 publication be the last revision of these books or was there yet another revision after 1970?

Thanks in Advance for any and all info on these books!

Bringing this back to the top..... hoping someone will have knowledge re: my question.

P.S. -- By the way, looking through these catalogs was been pretty interesting since they delineate and illustrate every available factory option and variable for the '61-'63 UNIs...the common reference to the UNIBODY (Body style 66) trucks. However, I will have to say that it was on this site that I learned that the correct Ford terminology is Integral body.

1970 was the last year the '57/63 truck catalog was published, and the ONLY time it was bound.

The previous catalogs were composed of loose leaf pages, which were inserted in Ford binders.

BUT, Ford replaces 10's of 1000's of part numbers every year, so the numbers in this catalog may not be correct.

And in 1989, Ford changed the package quantity of 50,000 + parts.

When the pinheads at Ford changed the package quantity, they also changed the part numbers SUFFIX!

Not one of these new part numbers are in any catalog published prior to 1990.

In order to verify part numbers prior to 1989, you need a 1990 or later O-S-I (Obsolete-Supercede-Interchange) Catalog.

Good luck finding one. I have three: 1990/1991/1994...all on microfiche.

btw: I woulda answered this question sooner, but as some of y'all know, my laptop died May 16th. Just bought a new laptop today.

Bill,
Thanks for all the information regarding these catalogs!

I guess even if the part numbers have been superseded, these catalogs still provide the different available combinations and factory options for these vehicles.
Thing is, I don't own a '57-'63 truck any longer!
Maybe I'll need to start shopping!!
Thanks again, Bill!
