There are hundreds of threads beaten to death on this subject.

In short a highboy, not a Ford term by the way, is an F-250 with a divorced transfer case from the factory.

It's got a higher height from the factory I think. I own one and I'm not entirely sure what defines it. I think it's supposed to be a 4x4 and have a divorced transfer case. Someone should chime in and fill you in better than I can.

That is a factory highboy. Basically like the other guys said...they were F250's made from '73-'77 that had divorced transfer cases. They sat 4" inches higher than standard height Ford trucks, hence the term "Highboy"

Step 1) crawl under truck.
step 2) face skyward.
step 3) count drive shafts.
step 4) if total is 3 you have a highboy.

All 73-mid 77 F250 4x4s are highboys there is no 4" lift as they are the standard truck for the years.

This is Deaver Spring ---> Deaver Suspension

Thinner leaves but more of them in each pack, makes for a softer ride. Kinda pricey though...im still trying to decide if im going to go big or go cheap...ha
