Question Whats the best 460 to look for???

I have a 76 hi boy 4x4 currently with a 400 in it. I am wanting to up the engine to the almighty 460. Which years of the 460's should I try to concentrate on when looking. I have ran across several old lincolns with the bruteness. Are they the same engines as they put in the pick-ups? I have big dreams on building this engine up over time. But for now just gonna be a mild rebuild to kinda get my feet wet on the ford big block. I will be truck pulling in a stock class so I am in need of a 4 bolt main I think. Is the 429 just as sufficient as the 460, and if so how hard is it to come by way of parts when going to the local parts house.

Best is a '70/71 Lincoln for a 460. 429's are '68/72 T-Birds & most wagons. Look at the casting #'s on the heads, you'll find one.
