Wipers are intermittent, switch makes clicking noise
My windshield wipers work for a minute or two, and then turn off for about 10 seconds and keep on cycling like this.
I put my head down by the wiper switch and I can hear a sort of clicking crackly noise right before the turn on or off.
If I remove the swtich from the wire clip and "jumper" the big-black wire w/ green stripe, to the blue w/orange stripe wire, it seems to put the wipers on high and they stay on permanently with out any issue.
I read somewhere that there is some type of primitive "circuit breaker" inside the wiper switch.
Point being, are my wipers broken, or is it just the switch thats broken? If I jumper the wipers to the "on" position, is that safe because im bypassing a broken piece, or is that dangerous because im bypassing an essential safety circuit breaker thats being triggered for a reason?
