I just replaced my stock muffler 3" single in/out with the same size Magnaflow. I wanted to go with the stainless to keep the system the same. Nice sound and a little more aggresive, not annoying. I wasn't looking for mileage or performance as they won't do much for either.
$100 for the Muffler on Amazon and $60 to have the stock one cut out and the new one welded on. Magnaflow p/n-12578 Satin SS

I recently installed a new muffler on mine. It was a flowmaster 50 series and personally I love the sound. I use my truck at work so I didnt want an overly powerful sound. It cost me 160 to buy and ship and I assure you that you will not pay more than me to get it installed (120). I did not need a new tail pipe just some new hangars.

I looked at the Flowmaster 50 series SUV but decided on the Magnaflow as the Flowmaster isn't available in Stainless. Your 09 has a stainless system. If you live in high salt areas as myself the Flowmaster won't last too long.
You need to shop around. My magnaflow MSRP is around $180. Amazon had it for $103.00 w/free shipping.
I had mine installed, as i mentioned at "Lou's Custom Exhaust" here in Ma. for $60.00. They cut it of and re-welded the new one in and took them 20min. I kept the orig tailpipe and no chrome tip. If you had yours bolted on it probably required more labor and cost to add hangers etc..

If you do a search for the 06 (or probably 05 and up?)super duty you won't have much if any luck. I just measured mine, determined the pipe size (3"), offset inlet and offset outlet. Searched the Magnaflow web site and found the closest one to fit. After they cut off the stock one they did have to add about a 2" coupler on the tailpipe to muffler end.
I think the orig. muffler "case" size was a couple inches longer (~24"?). The original muffler has a bar welded to the case at the output side that pushes into a rubber mount thats attached underneath the frame. They welded a SS threaded rod to the Magnaflow to replace the stock set-up.
