I have in fact heard about professional truck racing. Does your pickup truck, or anyone on this site qualify under that category? My guess is...no.
just sayin, oh, snap..etc.
Not even close but neither was theirs when they started out. Some people like modifying things and racing regardless of the vehicle. A truck isn't designed to be any more of a race car then a civic is but yet both are raced. If you don't like it and have nothing to add that's fine but then please get off the thread.

HA! Yes I'm sure that the drivers and crews for NASCAR Truck division started out by being concerned about their 0-60 times with a street truck. The similarities are just uncanny.
I imagine these are the same guys I see recklessly weaving in and out of highway traffic with their factory pickup trucks and loud exhaust, imagining they're running in some sort of NASCAR event. Real safe. Real mature.
I won't argue because you seem to know very little about different types of racing and how people get into the sport. And second no one here said anything about driving illegally or unsafe. The topic is 0-60 times of a truck not about your opinions about that topic that you cannot provide info on and no one wants to hear it.
If you have any specific question about performance or racing I'd be glad to answer those
