Question Will all same year diesel front fenders/doors fit each other?

I was looking into getting another clunker and could use new doors/front fenders. It is the same year as mine but a short2wd and says xl package. There is no trim on the outside of either truck so I am wondering if they will mate right up along with the front end for my truck?

And is there a difference between the radiators and the front cage that holds it if both setups have an air conditioner?

Thanks so much!

Yours is a Diesel, Is it a Diesel ???
If not you may have a radiator support issue, otherwise the sheet metal is all the same.

[edit] Again, I didn't read the title ... , They are the same! [/edit]

-Enjoy

I'm looking for doors for my 1987 F250 Diesel extended cab. I know the owner of a local junk yard and he checked what interchanges with mine. Doors from a 1987 to a 1991 and the doors for an F150/250/350 and F450 are all the same. Not sure about the fenders although I would think they would be the same as the doors to.

Fenders are the same on all of them too, from 87-91. The rad support will only be an issue if he is trying to swap it, I think he is just talking doors and fenders. though on the previous generation (81-86).

Hey everyone I'm new to this site, and I am wondering about fenders also. I have a 1990 F250 7.3idi, and I am wondering if fenders off of a 87-91 F150 or a F250 with a gas engine will fit? Or is it just easier to look for another F250/350 diesel with good fenders? Any help appreciated!

yup, 150, 250, 350, F-superduty, and broncos all use the same fenders 87 to 91. then 92 to 97 is the other body style.

Thanks for the help guys, as I have some slightly major rust problems and brand new fenders aren't in the budget. I have found a '91 F150 with good fenders for parts, and am now thinking about purchasing it. Thanks again for the help!

Aren't the 92+ doors the same though?

Hi again, I am just wondering if I would have to do any modifying to make things fit in the engine bay, from a gas engine to a diesel engine, or if they would match right up. I just want to clarify and make 100% sure. Thanks guys!

90ford, I don't really understand the question. The doors and fenders for that model range are all the same, regardless of standard, super or crew cab, the fenders are also the same for all full size trucks, and all engine/trans combinations, but the engine compartments have differences. The diesel engine models have a different core support, to accommodate a larger radiator, a gasser core support wont work, other than that, all else is interchangeable. To the OP, one thing for you to consider on the xl package truck you are talking about, is manual windows and no powerlock. The manual windows use a different door panel, and the power door lock is a bitch to change out. IMHO much easier to find a xlt package door.

Good luck,
Mac.
