Question Telephone Button in 2008 F-150 XLT

In my 2008 F-150 there is a telephone button on the right side of the radio by the menu button. When I press it the display indicates " No Phone. " Is there any way to hook it up so my phone would work thru the radio speakers? Seems odd to have the button and it has no function. Owner's manual is no help; it shows the button and tells you it will indicate " No Phone " when you press it.

sammer4u is starting off with a positive reputation.
Mine is just a mute, but I have a buddy who has the 2010 Scab, and it activates his phone. You must have blue tooth capable phone for it, and it is all hands free! Neat feature!
