You took it for what "they" said was under invoice???? I don't know. I think you did alright, but I could've gotten him done to 31,000 I think. Never take what they say to be the truth. Their car dealers, worse than politicians. But, they can't help it. They have to make a living too. There is always the "gray area" that car dealer friends that I have tell me about. Get into that. You can usually get them to knock 2500-3000 of the price and they still make a good commission off of it. If you don't hagle with them, they'll take you to the wood pile on the price. But, you still did pretty well. It could have been 35,000

sounds like a pretty good price, considering the fact that it is a CREW cab i think you said? with the 4 full size doors right? plus it has the back up sensors. ALSO if the truck hasnt been sitting in the dealers lot for 2 years, they probably werent in a hurry to get it out of their sight so im sure they werent going to budge much on the price. i hope you ebjoy your new ride.

I did a little calculating, and your truck should have had an MSRP of right around $38,000, which would make the invoice about $33,700, give or take a few bucks. I don't consider taxes or plate fees, because I don't know what they are in your state, and they're irrelevant to the "deal" because you have to pay them anyways, no matter what price you pay for the truck. So, take the invoice of $33,700 and subtract the $2500 rebate, and you get a net cost of $31,200. Dealer says he charged you $200 under, so your cost should be about $31,000 without the tax and other fees. Any more than that, and I'd want to have a little talk with the dealer. By the way: nice lookin' truck!

i worked for a Ford dealership when i bought my 2002 F250 extended cab, V-10, shortbox, automatic, "built tough" edition.
the window price was like, 34,700 or so, since i worked for Ford i got the truck for $ 27,800 or so. i think im going to have to get a part time job at a ford place when i get my next truck!!!
i think my next one will be a diesle since i drive so many miles.

Bought a new 2002 150 XLT FX4 4x4 extracab with 5.4 and tow package and the works for $23,480 last March. Large dealership listing about 8 of these "loss leaders" for a few weaks. I kept monitoring the units via their internet site and after a couple were gone decided to buy one. Sticker was actualy $32, 500. Think I got a good deal - for once. Interestingly, the ad went away and has never come back. Hmm?
