Throw out bearing/clutch issue?

Throw out bearing/clutch issue?
I just bought a 2001 f-250 v10 5 speed. The truck has a 112k on it. I got a deal so I bought it with some drivetrain noise. It appears when the clutch is engaged there is a racket. I assume this to be the throw out bearing tell me if I'm wrong. I only seems to notice it when idling, granted I have not drove the truck much. It shifts through the gears fine.
My questions are:
Does this in fact sound like a throw out bearing?
Will continuing to drive it till it gets really bad damage anything else or ring up my repair bill?
Depending on everyones opinion I figured I would try to drive the truck in its current condition and see if I can't make it till next spring (truck will sit the next 6 months anyway for other reasons). Then assuming by then that the sound has gotten considerably worse I'll just go ahead and slap a new clutch assembly etc in it.
Whats the average cost for a clutch/labor, etc.. at a shop? I'm guessing around a grand but, would like some numbers if anyone knows.
Thanks in advance for the help!
