What is a fair number for me to trade my truck for?

Good golly what a beautiful truck! She looks like a great daily driver to me.
Why can't it pull the travel trailer?
If you must sell, I agree with selling it for cash and then going to a dealer. A dealer won't give you half of what its worth. Might be able to find someone with what you're looking for willing to trade too.

I'll trade you a nice hitch to put on one of your other "too many toys" for her. You get a dailydriver/trailer puller, and I get another beautiful truck. What do you say?
In all honesty...a dealer will slit your throat and you'll end up with a beat up old piece of crap to pull your trailer when you'd be better off to let this one live the life it was built for by putting a hitch on her and pulling with her.
They're made for driving. My .02

Hey man, I worked in the wholesale business all through college and grad school. Obviously if you are a dealer you're going to cut yourself a deal...it's in the name...but if you're a dealer then you know other dealers. Imagine if some Joe Blow who was a complete stranger walked up to some of those other dealers you know wanting to trade in a 54 F100 fully Frame Off but had no clue what it was worth. Honestly ask yourself what they would do. I know that the guys I worked around would see what numbers they could pull up (they would not just low-ball the guy but...) then they would convince the guy that this truck wasn't worth near what he had in it (probably true) and would be difficult to sell (possibly true) so they could only offer him 80% of whatever the lowest number was that they'd found. If they could get the guy on the hook for that, they'd buy his truck, see him down the road and have that truck off to the next specialty auction they could find, and I know with the vette's and hotrods some of these guys played with they'd bring 50%-80% profits.
I do apologize for how strong my language was. I have family who are mechanics, and I hate it when people start bashing mechanics, though I know there are plenty unscrupulous ones out there who warrant the bad name. Not every dealer's out to rake you over the coals, but honestly ask yourself what your situation would be like if a non-dealer who didn't know the value of their vehicle walked in to some of your colleagues' show rooms.
Peace.
