Ball joint replacement on a 95 f250 4x4

I am removing top ball joint on a 1995 f250 4 wheel drive manual hubs how do you remove the camber spacer from the top ball joint so that you can remove the knuckle so that you can replace the ball joints.

One good smack with a BFH...

The spindles are tapered, like a Morse Taper on a drill chuck. It needs a smack or 4 to be freed from the taper.

Put the castle nut back on and hit it, not the ball joint stud. If you hit the stud you can mushroom it out and then you have a real problem - it won't fit through the hole.

Yes it will. The threaded end is smaller than the hole. I would put the castle nut back on to hit it also, but not because it won't fit through the hole if you don't.

Keeping the castle nut on will save you from having the knuckle fall on you during removal...ask me how I know.

Just keep the lower held on a few threads with the nut per the repair manual. I've never had a knuckle fall on my feet

Meh, first time out the gate and only dropped one of them on my legs...the second one was much easier.
