Question F-3 wheel bearings and seals...questions

Hey all, I haven't been in here in awhile, hope all is going well and the trucks are going good, I have a quick question about front bearings. I need to get all new ones for my truck so i can put my drums back on.

Was wondering if all i need is #'s (4) (5) and (6) in the lower left diagram from LMC Page 80... LMC Truck Parts - Page 80

Also...will they work for my F-3 even tho they only say F-2?

Thanks for the help

Save yourself a lot of time and trouble, not to mention shipping costs, and stop into your local NAPA store and buy them local. If you have your old ones, they can even cross reerence the numbers to make sure you get the ones you need. You'll also keep your hard earned money in your local economy, where you neighbor may be able to buy whatever it is that you do, and put food on everyone's table.

I agree with Wayne. Also, that way you will have the NAPA P/Ns to reference if you should ever need another set. You'll need to go there to get grease anyway.

But to answer your question, yes you are correct. The bearings come as sets with bearing and bearing cup - or race. So you will need an outer bearing (smaller) an outer race, an inner brearing, an inner race (large than the outers) and a grease seal.

Do not replace the bearings without replace the races. You will have to knock them out of the hub with a punch and hammer.

Thank you NUMDUM and all you guys/and gals for that. I wasn't sure if they could number match those. guess I will have to take a ride to NAPA and see what I can get.

Bill...I have to get two of each of those correct?

Yes, if you're replacing both the right & left front bearings/seals.

As Bill Stated those are the same bearings for an F1. Here are the current part numbers and manufacturers I had for mine. If your parts guys don't sell this brand then they have a list to cross reference:

Wheel Bearing, Front Inner-14130 Timken or BR14130 SKF
Wheel Bearing, Front Inner Race-14276 Timken or BR14276 SKF
Wheel Bearing, Front Outer-09067 Timken or BR09067 SKF
Wheel Bearing, Front Outer Race-09195 Timken or BR09195 SKF
Wheel Bearing, Front Grease Seal-49587 Victor or 17599 SKF

That's what's on my 51F1 -Timkens/Victor on the left, SKF on the right (bought them different places)

FYI: Included with the 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog is a 188 page Master Cross Reference Catalog:

Manufacturer to Ford Part Numbers and vice versa.
