My suggestions for the new F-150

Here's what I would like to see:
-A new strait 6. something in the 4L range. Tune it to 225hp and 300ft/lb or so and you would have a great base engine. The 300 just isn't gonna come back Think about it, why offer a 4.9L 6cyl and a 4.6L V-8?
-My next suggestion is to drop the 4.6. An OHC 5.0 could produce alot more power and be competitive for years to come. 275HP and 350 ft/lb would be childs play from such a motor.
-The 5.4 needs more gutts too. Giving up 45HP to Dodge in a HP driven market is a bad idea if you ask me and as much as some of you don't want to admit it Dodge has a good truck out there with better build quality than they've ever had before. They also claim that that Hemi puts out just as much low end torque (1500-2000rpm) as the 360 did but it continues to build torque all the way up to its peak of 375ft/lb at 4400rpm.
-Next I would love to see manual trannies available on all engines in the lineup. I personally hate autos and refuse to buy one. If I have to go to Dodge to get it than I will (I'd sooner die a slow horrible death than buy a GM).
-The return of the SFA on a 1/2 ton would be awesome but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

My suggestions for the new F-150

Well said 72F100. Shed a tear for the good old days and the 300. If we get a straight six at all it will be smaller. OK, so 4L ain't too bad. The 3.9L (240 cid) version of the 300 was the base engine in the F100 for a while, and a nice little engine it was. I could live with 4L, providing it has enough grunt!

And yeah, I could bear driving a Dodge, but NEVER a Shivvey.

My suggestions for the new F-150

I think that Ford should go all out and build some thing like this..
I like the Lightning Body so that would stay the same, make it like a F-250 weight capacity (suspension), and throw like a Built to the hilt 514" Cubed Blown monster in there. At least this way no one could touch us (NO ONE). Thats what i would like... IT's just a dream I had ounce anyway. It would be costly and they would have to make it streetable.. ,but that would still be sweet..

Atleast I think

My suggestions for the new F-150

i'd say replace the supercharged 5.4 in the lightning with superchared V10. have more power. available with the t56 six speed. that would be awsome. then make the f-250 body and the f-150 body's the same. i like the f-250 bodys better. have lockout hubs available on the f-150. get more power out of the 5.4 . i like the staight six idea. have more special models. like a pace truck. can have the the lightning, harley davidson, boss(havent heard of anything for this year), a pace truck, have a free wheeling package like they did in the late 70s. AND.... Most of all...
A 4X4 LIGHTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have always wanted one of these.

that woud be my best suggestion for ford
A 4X4 LIGHTNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
