I thought Ford canned the SVT (special vehicle team)division because of the economy. That's why the Lightning was going to disappear.

It's what happened to the SVO (special vehicle option)Mustang back in the day.

That's kinda what I thought. I wonder why they discontinued the "L" then, because a few years ago from what I had read the SVT division was going to be shut down....confusing

 

I thought i was the economy two, but then thay built this thing, What sucks thay didint bring it out after Dodge came out with the Viper truck, The adrenaline did come out, SVT made some weird and stupid things , SVT contour WTF was that The SVT Focus was cool !

 

My buddy had one of those SVT Focus's, we went on a 45 mile cruise down the highway with 86 Mustangs to an A&W Root Beer stand.

We had about 3/4 of a mile of Mustangs three lanes wide bombing down the interstate and passed a cop up in the bushes. When we got to the meeting spot my buddy in the SVT was at the back of the pack and said "I thought I was the duck to be plucked"...lol

He bought the Focus while his 9 Sec Mustang was getting built. It was pretty funny.
