Short bed XLT with a 3.5 EB engine...figured that would be a nice place to start...no go. only available with the long bed in regular cab versions or ext. cab....

BUT I could make a 5.0 shorty with regular cab and a 3.55 LS...now THAT might be a nice place to start. 360 HP and 380 TQ isn't too shabby on 87 octane. Get a tuner and use 92 octane and just imagine what you got then...swap the 3.55 with a 3.73 or 4.10...

and you would still be if I figure this right, less than what a Lightning would cost...including some decent tires and rims. The truck I put together was less than 31,000 on the ford website.
So is it ordered and on it's way?
