turn signal doesnt work

turn signal does nothing. I thought it might be the flasher but the hazzard works fine. Lights all work fine withe the hazzards on. Checked fuse its fine. Dont know what else to check.

Sounds to me like you have a broken wire or a bad switch. Probably time to take the steering column apart and check the wiring!

I've never done this but many on here have. Hopefully someone with more knowledge than I will be able to chip in.

Also, which year truck is this?

I just did some searching for you, and here's the best I can find:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...placement.html

This thread has instructions on how to replace your turn signal switch. I suggest taking it apart as the directions state and test the switch and wiring.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

Kids today probably wouldn't know what you were trying to do anyway.

Just make sure when you use the hand signals, you make sure all FOUR fingers are pointed the same direction. Use of one finger only means something entirely different.

Aren't there TWO different flashers in there? One for the hazards and one for the turn signals?

Try tilting your steering wheel up and down and wiggling the wiring harness that runs down the steering column. Sometimes it can get pulled too tight and loose contact.
