1995 f250

Hello to everyone here. I am a new guy with a question.
Went today and looked at a 1995 f250 with the 7.3 turbo diesel 4x4
5 speed 152000 miles. They want $5500.00 is this a good price? Also I know absolutely nothing about these motors are they good? What type of fuel mileage could i expect? any major issues to check? thanks pinetree

That a great price for low miles.
With a few mods you should be able to get around 15mpg in town

Any rust, how is the exterior. See if the guy has maintance records. These motors are great motors and if treated right will last a half million miles. Milesage will depend on the gears of the rear end, 3:55 will do better then 4:10's, usually between 12 and 20mpg. For that much money it should also look great. Its 15 years old and there are a lot of good deals out there now, offer less.

It has a little rust starting on the front drivers fender and around the wheel wells on the bed but it is not beyond repair yet. no maintenance records. he said he has owned it 11 years. he says it has the 4.10's in it. he also said it has a 1 ton rear or something in it. i offered him $4800 cash money hundred dollar bills. he said he was already offered 5000 cash and would not go no less i told him i would go 5000 cash money if the other deal falls through so time will tell. we will have to see if i get it or not.

he's workin ya.
Doubt he got offered 5k.

with rust, that seriously hurts the price on it.
Specially if its up on the front fenders already.

4500 IMO.

Once our trucks start to rust, there is more than meets the eye.

the rust on the front fender is just surface rust. the rust in the bed is the whole way thru but not near as bad as my 93 f150. it also has dents and scrapes on it but it is a 15 year old work truck. i geuss it is in the eye of the beholder but i aint going 5500 and not too sure about 5000 either. I like my first offer of 4800 i think i will stay with it.

Oh, my bad pine. I meant to say I got mine for that, not for sale for that.

I'd only let my truck go now for around 6 or 7.

Thats a little steep for that truck, Id say for 5500.00 it would have to be mint. look around, i just seen a 97 cc f350 dually, locally 148k on it. The guy wanted 5400.00 obo. for it, if i had the money i would have 2 of them lol

Always remember with these trucks, most are 2wd, and dualys came factory 2wd, so if you have a 4x4 dualy, it is a dealer option.
I think the only dualies that came factory with 4wd was the utility trucks like cody just got.

4wd is about a 1k option in price difference.
mint 4x4 with 150k on it is at least 6-7k if its a 94-96, maybe 8 for a 97, but those are high.
