Smog Pump Chirp

Smog Pump Chirp
My smog pump chirps like crazy. I replaced it and after the break in period the new one stopped chirping. However, a couple thousand miles later it started chirping again so I replaced it a second time. Now the new one (even after the 500 mile break in period) wont stop chirping. Any suggestions? Will a little WD-40 damage the pump or CAT?
When the truck is running, it appears the pulley might be warped or the pump may not be properly aligned with the drive system. I didnt see a way to adjust it though.
Help please.

I don't beleive that your supposed to lubricate anything on the smog pump. When I replaced mine the reman company specifically stated in the directions that lubrication of the pump would void their warranty. If it's an old pump that your trying to milk along then I'd say anything is worth a try tho. You might getting some belt dressing and spray on the belt. This might help eliminate the possibility that the squeak is coming from the belt and the potential mis-alignment problem that you are seeing.
