Found a Forged Block

Okay guys found a forged block. Its a 7/97 ford 4x4 van 75000 miles runs good doesn't smoke. Will the parts from the 01 be able to transfer to the 97 block such as turbo, turbo ped, up pipes, hpop etc ? I also notice the VC connectors look smaller than my 01 less wires. Any info would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks

take everything off the van motor but the heads..plug the hole in the valley where the fuel pump is and then put everything from your motor onto the van motor...

Hey Ron thanks for the info. Okay so it will work is it the same as an e99 engine? Is any thing else on that engine any good? So you are say it has a mech fuel pump it looks pretty tight under there. Ron what about the vc connectors the 97 block connectors looks smaller and has less wires.
Iam starting to feel better already knowing that the block might work.

I don't that engine will fit so just take it out of the van for me and send it on the barge and I'll pick it up at YB and use it for parts (:

I thought that forged blocks were rare because it was so hard to form the water passages while forging.

It's always easier to just swap the engine.

Yes, thats why they forge the connecting rods and then put them in a cast iron block

I made that statement because you have to pull the engine to swap the rods anyway.
The route that I took due to time limitations was to have a rebuilt engine ready to go rather than pulling just the one engine, then tearing it down for the repair and tieing up the shop for two weeks.
I simply tied up the shop for two days with the engine swap.

Thanks Dan I think swaping of the engine swap also. I would like to swap motors and later work on building a motor maybe 600+ and do a good job when I have enough $$$$$$.
