least with winter cold all ya gotta do is add more clothes to get warm... summers theres only so much you can take off before your arrested for indecent exposure lol...
A neat (stupid) thing we used to do on snow covered roads was to grab a hold of a car bumper - when cars had bumpers - and go for a ride. Almost like water skiing. Sucked though when you hit a bare spot in the road.
nice thing about iced over parking lots vs the dried up ones... the ice doesnt put as much ware and tear on the tires as the bare pavement parking lots do... since the tires just "slide" on top of the ice lol...
i usually just found the closest parking lot and started doing doughnuts in the car on the ice lol...
No offense there Sparky, but people that purposely go play in the snow at parking lots really chap my azz! As a guy that plows those parking lots, it is really difficult to try to scrape of that packed down ice which makes my customers complain since they are worried someone will slip on the ice. Not to mention it puts some unneeded stress on my blade as a result. Just thought I'd give you some prospective from the other side.

im not talkin bout like freshly fallen snow kind of ice over lots... ones i played on were ones where it rained all day and temps dropped enough to freeze all the rain that had fallen and was still sitting on the lots solid... turning the parking lots into ice rinks at night...
mall parking lot does it every time we get a good winter storm and they dont plow it at all... first year i had my stang wed get a mix of rain/sleet/snow all day and at night temps dropped well below freezing turning everything to ice... you also have to realize ur in springfield... which i would guess ur city does more to their roads than what they do here... and im in va beach... vdot doesnt do crap around here... nor do the individual city trucks when we get winter weather so our roads are 90% untreated and rarely plowed when we get winter stuff...
