What's the purpose of the hook under the cup holder?

2007 Ford F-350 V-10

There's a hook under and slightly to the right of the center cup holder tray, near the glove box. It's built into the moulding and is from the factory. What it's purpose? It's too low to be for clothing, and I doubt we've gone back to CB radios. So what's it for?

Clearly I'm new to this Ford.

Thanks.

Dale

Just a guess but to hang a trash bag on. I think I saw this in another car a year or so ago.

Most call it a trash hook.
Grab a plastic grocery bag and hang it there for convenience.

Please become acquainted with the search function available here at FTE.
You will find that practically any question has an answer already posted.

I personally haven't found the search fuction to be very user friendly. Yes you can find the words you type in but they often don't have much to do with what your looking for.

Also when someone starts a new thread it usually brings up other questions and answers that help us all learn new things.

Not to say I haven't spent hours reading old threads and learning a ton about things I didn't even know I needed to learn about. (come to think of it that's what's causing me to spend all this money moddin my truck )

I used it to bring my IPOD connector through. On the 03 model, the hole is just small enough to keep the connector from slipping back into the dash.

I also have the original clear plastic Ford trash bag hanging there.

Ditto here, although I will say I have learned a thing or 3 and spent many hours reading what I have found there. Very entertaining search results sometimes.

Personally I think the hook is for a small trash bag (which is what I try to use it for, when I remember that its there LMAO.)
