Shocks are shot on 1995 F150 4wd. Any advise on which shocks to buy to replace them. Not looking to lift the truck, but would consider an aftermarket offroad shock ( rancho, skyjacker...) if I could order them at a reasonable price. Little lost on what type to get. Hydro/nitro, monotube/ twin tube. Not much serious off roading with this truck, but might lock the hubs in occasionally. Any thoughts y'all might have would be appreciated. Thanks

I have monroe standard shocks on my 1990, Bilstein's on my 2002 Ranger, and Monroe Sensa-trac on my 1993 Flareside. The Sensa-tracs ride great. Bilstein may be making the best shock out there. The standard Monroes are a nice shock. The 1990 is my hunting truck. It's big, heavy, and goes anywhere.

I have Rancho RSX on mine and really like them. I don't really care for the Rancho RS5000 I had before. I like gas charged shocks and they just dampen movement.

I will also agree the Monroe shocks are really good. I have had them on previous trucks and they are a really good way to go.

I can't say about Bilstein, except I have only heard good things about them.

I've been using Monroe Gas Magnums on my 96 F250 4x4. Recently replaced the first set after 50k and discovered NAPA sells the same shock for a couple bucks less as "NAPA Gas Grande Fleet" .

It's a work truck and frequently has a load in the back. Firm and well controlled ride. very happy with the performance and price.
