towing with a 4R70W

towing with a 4R70W

I have a 94 f 150 5.0. Will this tranny work ok pulling a 4500 lb trailer.

You should be fine, I tow over 10,000 LBS regularly with a 4R70W. Just keep it out of overdrive if you feel the transmission "searching" for gears.

Thanks, I had it serviced and they had told me it was not made for towing much weight. I've towed a small pop up before and always leave OD off .Should I go to a larger cooler, there is a small one on it now I think it's factory.

larger coolers than factory is always a good thing
