Good morning Elmer Fudd!
On the NC Chapter page, at the vary top, is a thread for buying, selling, trading. You may be able to post there without any issues.

not forced to sell right now but would be nice to have the cash and more room in the garage for other things. im located in Johnston county, NC
Look up Vulcan riders USA also several other local Raleigh and Goldsboro chapter/pages on facebook. Could possibly put you in contact with someone looking.

Wish I had the extra funds right now, I'd love to have a 1700 nomad, Vaquaro, or Voyager for long distances.

THere's also a Jo Co website for classifieds, as well as WRAL and other things like OfferUp that can be used to avoid CL. I try those three before using CL, though they don't get nearly the traction that CL has. OfferUp seems to be a better population, like the ones trying to avoid CL, like us!

Added a bigger backrest to help keep the wife more comfortable, it's about 3 or 4" taller and 4" wider than the old one!

Old then new.

I bet she likes that a heck of a lot better than the other one. Looks bigger and more comfy.

Gonna be tearing my bike down this afternoon to throw a new clutch spring at it. Apparently the Vulcan springs are known to go out anywhere after 6k miles, mine has 32700 on it now. Will be replacing with a Barnett HD spring for a Meanstreak, supposed to be thicker and have a little more pressure.

It went fairly well, ended up going to do dinner with the wife's grandparents so I didn't get it completely finished. Got a solid 2.5 hours of work done and probably would of came real close to finishing except I left a washer out so I had to pull the cover back off when I found it and pull part of the clutch back apart but got that squared away. Just have to bolt on the floorboard/rear master cylinder and the exhuast today and see how she rides.

Finished the bike up yesterday and then rode it to Morehead to meet with the wife's family again for dinner. Totally different bike, zero hesitation, zero slip. Since I went with the Barnett Meanstreak spring the clutch lever is atleast 3x harder to pull in. Plus when before I didn't have to pull it halfway in, now I've got.to pull it all the way to the grip.

Glad everything went together smoothly. In time you probably won't notice the harder lever pull.

Got some progress on the yamahammer Sunday. Old shock is removed. Found a suspect wiring connection I need to solder. Will finally replace the old battery. Still need to replace a motor mount bolt. And I'm debating updating the forks. They are pretty shot but it's time consuming and about 200$ for springs, oil, seals, etc..I will post some more photos as I get things sorted out.

Just ordered the springs, oil, and seals for $150+shipping. Should be here before next week. Should give me enough time to finish the rear and disassemble the forks and have them ready for the new internals.

Nice!

Yea I'm guessing the clutch will slowly be easier to grab as the spring breaks in.
