Yea when I was looking it was for a Vulcan 1500, a V star 1300 or the VTX 1300 or 1800.

I just know for 5400 you can find a much newer bike. Hell there is a 07 Vulcan 1500 on the cherry point lemon lot with 12xxx miles for 4750.

Well I've narrowed it down to four bikes. All depends on the best deal cause I'm a cheap a$$. But I have decided to up my price range a little to hopefully/possibly get a more reliable daily driver. I still haven't got my bike from my friends shop yet. I think he's determined to convince me to somehow be able to keep it.

06 and up FZ1
02-03 blackbird
12-13 ninja 1000
12-13 vfr1200f

There's a few out there right now but either just out my price range or don't have any extras I'm looking for.

I may even do a fly and ride as there is a bike in Arkansas for a great price. But I'd have to factor in a one way flight out and food and gas on the ride back.

And after saying all that, I may still do something stupid like buy a ducati or another aprilia or a guzzi.

Have you looked at the fz7,fz9? I am hearing good things about the bikes... I however am not a naked guy...

I have only read reviews. Never rode either. I have one friend that purchased an fz9 but it got replaced rather quickly. He said it was too much of not enough. If that makes sense.

I test rode an nc700x a few months ago. Ergos were nice but the bike was bland, had no character and had zero giddy up.

I love the multistrada but I have told myself to stay away from finicky Italians or I might already have one in my garage.

Been riding the bike some. Got most of the major leaks taken care of but it's still leaking. It's going to need the entire top end re-built. Rode around Saturday for a few hours. I think I'm going to keep it instead of parting it out. As soon as I get a replacement I'm going to put it on the lift and start tearing it down.

Nice! Have you found any more possible candidates?

Now that the ice and snow are hopefully over with I plan on DD my bike again.

Finally won/got a decent deal on a crash bar with pegs on ebay, it's used but looks decent. I'll need longer bolts but they can be had for a few bucks at lowes. Got the bar for $65 shipped. The cheapest I've found is $160 for the crash bar, and $45-50 for the pegs. I belive I got a decent deal, can't wait to get it in and installed.

Welp we made a run today in the pouring rain... first pic, first 3 bikes are us. Eastern NC 1-67 Vulcan riders association there's a meanstreak, then my 1500 classic, and a 1600 classic.

Looks like a nice turn out even with the rain, and the Mustang had it's top down too.

Got a new (to me) crash bar with highway pegs. Cost me $65 shipped. A new one is about $190+ for my bike, then pegs are $50+ or so plus shipping. Only thing I had to do was buy $0.92 worth of bolts for it.

Been playing Tag over on the VTX website. It's been nice out riding local roads I never travel on for some reason. Getting some nice shots of the bike. Just thought I would share a few.

Put a new white headlight bulb in the bike today, no more dull yellow. Hope it'll be a real big improvement at night, guess we will see in the morning.
