I had a lovely ride to Oriental Saturday. Conditions were perfect. Went from steady rain to pouring rain. And blowing 15-20mph steady with 25mph gusts. That short stretch over the New Bern Bridge had me laying on the tank. Wee Doggies.

Nice. Hope she provides you miles of smiles. Need some bags so you can take extended rides to the grocery store. "Going out for milk honey" return five hours later. Just don't forget the milk.
I'm having clutch issues on my buell. Going to have to pull it out and find out what the problem is. Currently won't stay in neutral. Sucks.

Bags and sissy bars are in the list. Put about 40 miles on it today ridding backroads getting use to how it handles. So far I'm extremely happy with the way it handles, and the throttle response is crazy. The bike will get on down the road and those vance and hines sound good cruising and have a very nice bark when in the throttle.

Alright guys question for y'all, do any of y'all use fuel additive? Been doing some reading seems some people swear by seafoam, others by Lucas fuel system cleaner. I have personally used both in trucks both seemed to do there job. But what do y'all run in the bikes? How often? I've read a few 1-2 ounces a tank, I've heard 1/4-1/3 a bottle every 4-5 tanks. I plan on riding the bike threw out the winter aslong as it isn't snowing or -5 out but it is carbed and I know they don't like ethanol, I try to keep 93 in it. May even splash a little 110 renegade race fuel (leaded) in it next time I get some. Thanks for any input

This is close to a "which weight oil" question.
My personal choice is to use it more as a treatment for storage then as a performance aid. I'll put some sta-bil or b12 in the dirt bike tank as I don't ride it as often as my daily driver. I'll occasionally run a bottle through the DD but more as a cleaner. I generally can't tell I've added anything. I hope its doing its job.

Ive used sta-bil in my two stroke engines as well.
I don't use any of it in our 4 wheeled vehicles. They get driven often enough and hard enough.

As long as you ride it enough it should be OK without any treatments. I run 89 octane in mine and put about 15,000 a year on it, I never have had any problems with the carb gummimg up. Seafoam is what I would use if I were to need a cleaner though. I hope you get plenty of mile on yours and all safe ones.
