best move ive made so far. got the hydroboost all in. took 2 hours to do. couldnt have been any easier. and what a difference! ive got 42's on my girl, used to take about 300 ft to go from 35 to 0. now, 50ft. with my 16k loaded car trailer behind me, id never stop. not a problem now. buy it guys! cost 150 for the unit, 100 for the push rod, spring and retainer (or go to ford for 380 and get the whole thing) was 35 for both lines, 5 bucks for the return line hose. the longest part of the thing is slotting the holes on the master cylinder to fit the wider bolt pattern of the hydroboost unit. next step: rear disk conversion. got the brackets in already, gotta special order the calipers and just get the rotors. couple new brake lines and its ready to go. wish me luck!
Lol, I split lines, on my Chev tho - first it was a front line, I replaced them, then the rear promptly blew - after fixing it too she was good to go. That very same hydroboost unit is now in my dually Ford, giving the RABS a run for its money - so far they g along rather well, just today I tested them twice (not on purpose)...
it isnt a kit it is pretty much a build your own conversion kit using parts that were used in f450 like hydroboost unit, p/s pump and hoses. you can use the same master cylinder just gotta enlarge the holes in the mounting flange of the master cylinder!
