I recently bought new wheels and tires for my truck. I'm thinking about selling my stock wheels and tires. They are off my F250 SD 4x4. The wheels are in good shape. The tires have some cracking on the sidewall but they still have some tread left. The wheels are 17" and the tires are 265/70/17. If i were to sell them, what is a fair price to ask?

I couldn't give away my stocker 17" stamped steel rims w/chrome caps with Contis' with only 4k on them, lowered price all the way to 150.00 for all 4, then wound up giving the tires to my business partner for his Ram 2500 who then had the nerve to complain the contis were bad in the snow. I told him he was out of warranty, the a**wipe.

I couldn't give mine away either so I am using mine as winter wheels.

 

You can buy remanufactured chromed steel wheels for about $75/each around here, with a short warranty. So, I'd think you could get about that for yours since yours include tires. I personally wouldn't pay that much, maybe $50/each is what I'd pay and I'd actually like to get some. I'm hoping to find them for less than $50/each.

 

With cracks in the sidewall like that those tires are worthless and should be discarded. Put the wheels on craigslist for around $300 and see what happens. No fees on craigslist and no dealing with shipping. May take some time and several relists to sell them, the right buyer needs to see them.

If you come up with price and don't live too far from the Commodore Barry Bridge, please let me know what you come up with. Not interested in the tires but would consider the wheels and caps depending on your price. (Would take the tires but would probably just get rid of them.) Thanks.

Would the wheels off a 2005 fit on a 2003? I know that's when they went from front leaf springs to coils, not sure if they changed backspacing and offset then too.

On craigslist, price going is about $200~/set, with or without rubber, in the area. If I had $200 to throw at you and that was your asking price, I'd pick them up in a heart beat, as I want a spare set of wheels.

 

I have the exact same tires on my '08 built in May '08. They have 55K on them and are cracked up much worse than those.

 

Well, the stock BFGs are far better than the Conti-Craps. Mine have about 35k on them and have plenty of tread left, although for snow/ice they are hardly adequate.

Cracks in the sidewalls should not be ignored, those tires should be discarded ASAP.
