New to me truck (problem running)
1997 F250 Power Stroke Diesel 4x4
This truck was owned by a young kid. He replaced the fuel injectors with new stage 1 injectors. It has a new fuel pump (mechanical) and starter. Ever since this was done the truck will not run for more than a couple of minutes and it runs rough and puts out lots of white smoke. You have to crank it alot to get it started. What should I look for?

How long have the injectors been in there? Was the truck started only a few times after they went in? If the smoke is from oil I would say the injectors went in wrong. Maybe a oring got fudged up. Check the fuel filter and try to see if oil is getting into the fuel. Were the sticks DIY? Just a wag to get you started. I wouldnt go pulling the sticks till you had a chance to look into some things..
