I just hooked up some backup lights. Of course after I wondered when go for my sticker next month, will there be any problem? I heard in some states they are not allowed and Mass being a state in which not much is legal had me wondering..

In general...auxiliary backup lights are legal...they must work as the normal backup lights work...and...they must be operable when you take the vehicle in for inspection.

I have a set on my F250 and they are wired to the factory backup lights using a relay. They can only come on when the truck is in reverse or when I use another switch under the bumper to turn them on manually. They do make a huge difference when backing up.
