2004 Fords?
I think the 2004 F-150 look better in person, but as for the fenders being plastic it does make it look cheap but that is also dependant on the model you look at. I think the 2003 Silverado's are just plain ugly. The main thing that concerns me is the recent quality issues Ford has been having.

Well Andy, obviously I expected better E.T.s than was posted. The H.P. rating on the Hemi is ~same as The Ford H.D. but the H.D is almost a second faster. And that is an extra cab vs. an R.C. the Hemi was in. I like Chevys. My car is a Trans Am. But, Contrary to a lot of current Ford owners, I like the new body style. I don't like the step side as much but the literature says we will be able to get a 5.5 beg with the Supercab. I like that.

How do you figure "it sure as He!! had better be faster"? The hemi ram is not a "special edition" and is not expensive, comparatively speaking. The H.D. IS a special edition and does cost more. However, the number of $$$$ a vehicle cost doesn't automatically make it faster. Now to make a serious comparison you must look at hp and torque along with the weight. The hp is advertised to be within 5 hp of each. I have never seen where a hp from a blown engine is stronger than a hp from a naturally aspirated engine. I see no difference in hp between the two. The torque is slightly higher on the H.D. and that will help it get off the line a little better. The weight of a reg cab Ram is less than a supercrewcab F150. When all the numbers are crunched then there is no reason for the Hemi Ram to be a second slower in the 1/4. Someone tell me what I'm missing here.

The reason the dodge is that much slower is that the stupid ram head on the front causes drag
If it had a ford Oval it'd be more aerodynamic

O - Over

I own a 2002 F-150 Supercab and you can bet that when the 2004 hits the dealer, I'll be there to get mine. I like the possibility of getting one with bucket seats and the shifter in the floor. I owned a 99 Silverado and it was ok but just didn't really move me....I owned a 95 Dodge and loved it but it drank gas like Teddy Kennedy sucks down booze......Have really enjoyed the f-150....Looking forward to the 2004 though
course that's why they make different trucks...you pick what you like and pay your money.....

The part that you're getting confused on about Ford Quality, is that the quality problems that you are probably referring to are for model years 1994-1998. Before that time Ford was known for good quality, and they dropped the ball and got lazy. Luckily they fired Jacque Nasser (CEO), and put the family back in charge, somebody with the companys real value in mind. Their quality for new cars and trucks is some of the highest of any manufacturer. (J.D. Power and Assoc.)
