86 f150 basic

Year: 1986
Make: Ford
Model: F-150
Price: $800
Mileage: 260000
Color: blue
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): VA
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
Color: Blue
Engine: 300 ci IL 6

loads of rust (although MOST is surface rust there is plenty that goes all the way through), all lights work, radio works, heater works, tranny shifts good, (4spd w/ granny gear) engine runs (needs all new seals/gaskets) pm me if you have any questions. the truck in both my garage AND gallery are THIS truck. would like to get atleast what it cost me out of it as i haven't had it more than a few weeks and quite frankly just don't have the time (not to mention the money) to do the work needed. fix the seals on the engine and it would make one hell of a work truck. Wouldn't need to worry about lil dings after all 8P

Are you sure that all it needs is seals??

And it seems that you are 250 miles away from me, Im just south of martinsville va. Would the truck be drivable enough to get it home??

no, HOWEVER it only has its issues when the seals result in a dry engine on the inside and a messy one on the outside

that really depends bud, i drove it about 800 miles before the seals began spitting oil out fast enough to be a problem.

If you can do a compression test on it sometime, just to make sure the head gasket and rings are ok. Also, can you pull one of the plugs to make sure there isnt any excessive oil seepage into the combustion chamber.

If this checks out, then Ill beg to grandad to let me use his trailer ti come up there. Thanks in advance.
