Can anyone tell me what the inside diameter is for the bottle top style hub caps that came on our trucks?

Which part is the "innie" vs. "outtie" ? I thought about using the cap as the top for an air filter on my truck....just an idea.

Innie: The hubcap snaps over tabs or riveted clips located on the
inside the wheels center section.
Outie: The hubcap snaps over tabs located on the
outside of the wheels center section.
