Need wiring diagrams for speed control fix

Does anybody have the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis Manual for 1995? I am trying to fix my cruise control that quit working after I installed am ZF5 tranny in my truck.

All the manuals I have found on this and other forums refer me to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis Manual for speed control on the diesel.

Help! Long hauls are killing me with no cruise control!!

Wasn't there a TSB on this issue?

FORD TSB's (technical service bulletins)

A solenoid...?

EDIT: Did you change from an auto to the stick?

If it's an auto to stick conversion issue, I'm all ears, I'd love for the cruise to work in my truck.

Have the sensor on the end of the master cylinder checked (BPA), it's the subject of a recall for causing fires. The dealer will replace it for free.
TEST: Unplug the BPA and place a jumper into the harness side. If the CC works the switch is bad. Do not use it this way, the CC may not disengage.

The CC needs a signal from the neutral safety switch (TRS on side of trans) or from the Clutch Pedal Position switch. Not sure if the PCM needs a re-flash if it was converted from auto to stick or vice-versa.

I will check the sensor. I had the wiring harness replaced, as part of that big recall for the fires, but it worked after that until I installed the manual tranny.

I had DP Tuners reflash the computer for the manual and I have tested the CPP. It functions properly. I even reinstalled that little jumper cap on the harness to the CPP as it was with the auto, just to make sure.

I have a Haynes manual, but the diagrams in it are no good. They say I have to refer to the diesel manual.....

If I could just get my hands on a good set of complete diagrams for the engine and truck, I could start tracing out to see if the problem might be in the also be in the harnesses that I swapped out to go to the new manual.

IS the BOO working?

Here's a few diagrams for a 96....don't know if a 95 is the same.

I did check the brake lights, they all work including the cab mounted one.

What is the BOO?

Thanks for the diagrams.

Gotcha. I haven't checked that, I will check that and the BPA.

What kind of book did you get the electrical diagrams from? They are 10 times better than the haynes and I would like to find one for 1995 that I can put in my collection!

Factory Service Manual on DVD, look for them on eBay.
The first one I bought covers from 1996 to 1999, $28 delivered.
The second one covers from 1996 to 2008, $36 delivered..........both cover all Ford cars and trucks all engines.

Just took a look there, kinda expensive for most DIYer's if I read it right,,,,,,,over $100/yr for just one car....over $2000 for all cars, still only one year.

Yah, it looks like it's changed a lot since I last looked. They used to have all the workshop manuals online, but now it's just the skimpy ones.

I bought my paper shop manuals from Helm, but check this site out:

Diesel Technician Society

Looks like it's mostly engine related (being the Diesel Society), so I am not sure how helpful it'll be for the OP, but I think it's cool just the same.

In looking around, it looks like Ford might be restricting where you get this information. Not unusual for a manufacturer to do, but it sure stinks when you are trying to repair the product they sold you!

Cuda Jim, Do you have a diagram that shows the wire harness from the manual tranny up to and including the harness it plugs into on the front fender well? The harness on the fender has 2 plug ins that the auto tranny harness plugged into, but now one is empty because the manual tranny harness only has one plug. I want to see where the now empty plug goes to.
