Transfercase Rear Output Shaft Seal Leak

Transfercase Rear Output Shaft Seal Leak
I have a 2000 F150 4wd 5.4L. Last year my drive shaft was squeeking so I had new u-joints installed. Trying to do a good job I decided to replace the Transfercase seal. Well it leaked. I then replaced it with another trying to do a better job and it leaked. Then another with silicon around the outside and it leaked. Took the shaft to the shop and they said the slip yoke section was fine and the seal was holding oil. I had the shaft balanced and replaced the seal this time using lots of brake cleaner and no lube or silicon around the outside when putting the seal back in. Drove 20 miles and no leak. 2 days later I took an 400 mile trip and it leaked. Only when driving. Sitting in the driveway there is no leak.
Any Ideas?

The seal is still leaking. I thought I had it fixed on some short trips to work but after the long trip it still leaks. I think when the truck bounces it leaks as the shaft moves in and out on the spline. Someone suggesed there might be an internal O-ring inside the case that is bad but I don't quite understand this because I don't have a schematic of the transfer case.
