radiator issue

ok so i park my truck this afternoon. and after i do i look at the front and im dripping colant from the pass side front of my truck. so i pop the hood and i cant see a leak. so i crawl under it and i cant feel a leak. the rad hoses arent leaking and neither is the drain plug. i havnt had a chance to pul the rad out and check over it but just wondering if anyone else had a problem like this. its dripping from the core support.

my other question is should i be worried about a head gasket issue?

No need to worry about a head gasket for a minor coolant leak.

You won't see much till you pull the fan shroud back out of the way.

Its not coming out of the overflow tube is it?

I've accidently put too much fluid in mine and it will drip out of the little tube next to the cap on my radiator.

nope passenger side of the radiator. the cap and hose to the overflow tank are both new. im kinda worried about this because ill go through an overflow tank full of water in about 3 days. its like the truck'll heat up and then when i shut it off it leaks form the passenger side of the radiator

If you have the radiator with the plastic tanks, you can pull the radiator and carefully bend back the tabs, and put a new gasket in place, and then bend the tabs back. They say you can do this one or two times till most of the tabs break off.

and its not where the end caps are connected to the core. its leaking where the coolant tubes that the fins are on go into the end tanks

Don't know how big your leak is, but many years ago in my old '77 F150 we were heading up to northern Washington state to cut down a christmas tree and while stopped for gas, I noticed the radiator was shooting a 4' stream of coolant out through the grill. Being many miles from home I went in the store, and they sold me some Bars Leaks powdered stop leak. This stuff is like little tiny golden flakes. I poured it into the radiator and watched the leak just die after just a couple of minutes. Being real skeptical I figured it was just a temporary fix. Well I had that truck for another 8 years, and never had another leak. Might be worth trying.

If it is a small leak what rockstone suggested should work, I've also used black pepper in the past. If it is larger it might be repairable, but it also might be cheaper to get a new radiator then get it fixed, at least that's what I've been finding.

x2 on the Bar's Leaks. I used it this weekend on my Firebird which was shooting water out of the radiator.
