White Sand Tri Coat touchup 07 Expy

I purchased an 2007 Expy Limited and the bumper skirt needs some touch up. The touchup paint from the dealer is the Pearl top coat and they gave me a base white touch up to apply first. This still comes out to light. I think I need more of an off white base. Anyone have experience with this?

My dealership gave me the "white chocolate" single stage and it matches great.

I bought a single stage white platinum or some models called white chocolate on Ebay and it matched just fine, double check your paint code in the door jam before ordering.

got it here on Ebay.

I confirmed the paint code is PV and I do have the correct paint. Problem is it goes on looking almost clear with some suspended glitter in there. It does not cover well. The ford parts guy said you have to put down a base paint first.

I am trying to cover a small area on the front bumper skirt that was damaged by the previous owner. The scratch is down to the black of the plastic. The PV code paint does not cover it as it looks clear. The base coat with PV on top does not match.

Is your PV paint thick like a regular touchup paint or similar to what I have. If I try it on a dark piece of paper is it also see through.
