Still Need Camper Springs 04
Hi I have been overseas so I have not been dealing with this recently.
I bought an 04 f350. I did not know enough at the time to check the suspension.
The truck was advertised as having the camper setup. However I later found out the previous owner had a lift kit on it before and removed it.
He also replaced the suspension with the wrong leaf springs. Now i have a f350 with something like an f150 leaf springs......argh
I plan to place a camper on the back of this thing.
I have not been able to find anyone to sell me a used camper spring setup.
I thought you lift guys would have one....
So my question finally:
What other setup might work.
Buy ofter market springs? Do Ford dealers sell 04 camper suspension setups based on the door sticker.
Add air bags?
So does a camper setup have front coil over springs?
I want to have a Proper suspension setup. It would be nice to have the actual springs (model number) that came with this truck.

I have a stock setup, but I still get about 2" sag, even with a 4-point stabilizer anti-sway hitch....so I'm looking at the following...especially the 4 link setup.

Thanks guys for the replies.
The truck camper (type that sits in the truck bed not the towing type) can be 4000 plus pounds.
I have always disliked seeing trucks with their front way high and the back draggin. that was why I bought the 350 to have the best capacity.
The info i have found on camper packages are heavier front springs and also back springs and sway bar....at least the sway bar is still there.
So i am going to completly replace the springs. Also every leaf spring on my truck is different. Yeap 4 different springs......big argh.

Camper Springs
Rayezra,
I actually have some F-250 Super-Duty Springs that were bought new for my 99' that I have never used. I can send you the part numbers if you want to check for fitment. If they do fit, you can then add the single camper leaf on top and rock on. They are in my way and I need to get rid of them, like for almost nothing.
If you are interested, drop me a line at Joet13@cobaltemail.com.
regards,
Joe T.

Camper springs
Rayezra,
BTW, I was running my 99' F-250 with standard springs, added the single leaf camper springs from a stock Ford (used), added a sway bar, and was able to successfully pull my 42' 18K Toybox. Approximately 3750 lbs. hitch weight.
Notice that I said "pull". I am now running a 2006 F-350 KR CC dually so that I can "pull" AND more importantly, "STOP".......I am also using airbags on this setup.
