So I did it again with 2 bottles VC-9 thermistate out set to high idel 1100-1200 rpms for an hoour and it was crystall clear 4th flush

Does the 7.3 use the Ford Premium Gold Antifreeze. If not, the VC9 may or may not be needed.

I have read VERY Little on 7.3 but IIRC they Dont use Ford Gold coolant

might want to jump over to the 7.3 forum

VC-9 is an iron cleaner

I'll be using some ELC for the refill.
I was using Evans coolant.
I'm concerned about rust formation because I flushed with tap water when the oil cooler went out before I pulled the water pump, and the water has been in the block for a couple of weeks.

I have also posted in the 7.3 forum
