Carbon Fiber Body Parts?

Does anyone make them for the Super Duties or Excursions? Simply curious as that would shave off a lot of weight I would think... plus look sick.

Fabtech used to do some fiberglass body panels. I've never seen CF for trucks though, it seems to me that it would awfully expensive repair it when a limb or rock smacks it. At least on the structural side, glass can be heavier. I've messed with some hoods that were heavier than their steel counter parts.

There are other issues with CF, health issues- in the event the fibers become airborne during prep, engine compartment fire, etc, the fibers are very hazardous- similar to breathing asbestos. If you really want to go light and strong...aluminum (which your hood is already made out of)
