The Super Camper Special has a 140" Wheel-Base.
Which, is 7" longer than normal. Every Super Camper Special is Two Wheel Drive F-350 Regular Cab, No Exceptions.
Post up pictures of yours.

It's been said 3,300 were made total. From '73-'79.
In '77 They Dropped the Super part of Camper Special. So they became F-350 Camper Special, They didn't want the buyer thinkin' they were buyin' a Super-Cab Camper Special, Which was introduced in '74, and is an entirely different thing.
The Super Camper Special was just about the Biggest, Baddest Truck on the block.
This things have a 8" deep frame.(Which is huge) Have bigger brakes, Stabilizer Bars front & rear, and they had a pigtail thing for a camper. They also a Transmission Cooler, a Huge 4-Core radiator, Which were both part of the "Super Cooling Package" Don't sell your '73. You WILL regret it, I have yet to meet anyone who hasn't regretted sellin' their dent-side.
Here are pictures of my '76 Super Camper Special with a High Performance 390 FE and a 4-Speed.
And, The coolest feature of The Super Camper Special:
And, Here is Me by My truck in late '07...(I'm 15, almost 16)
Here's a '74 Super Camper Special Brochure:

1973 super camper special
thanks for th info on my truck i will post some pics .this is a strong truck.but it never did any hard work .the old guy i got it from used it to pull his travel trailer to Utah on fishing trims .the camper in the back is fitted with fishing pole holders. i don`t think anything were transported in the bed .wasn`t used for work cause the guy was a union carpenter here in las vegas .and union carpenters don`t carry tools .... come to think of it ,they don`t carry anything... i was suprised to see it had factory a/c .original radio and was unmolested as far as wiring hoses etc. even has the original hub caps. the vin # is F35HRQ25632

I can't wait!
Your VIN is F35HRQ25632.
F35= F-350 Two Wheel Drive.
H= 390ci V8 with a 2-Barrel Carburetor.
R= San Jose, California Assembly Plant.
25632= Build Sequence Number.
Your Truck was built in September of '72. Makin' it a '73 Model.
Your truck is very similar to mine, Except Mine had a 390ci FE with a 4-Barrel instead of yours which had a 2-Barrel. But they were both built in California.
Where do you live? Another things different about my truck is, it doesn't have A/C, and it doesn't have an Automatic Transmission. Almost all these trucks were Auto's with Air Conditionin'.
Your Welcome
Thanks,

pulling a fifth wheel thailer
I recently purchased a 1973 ford f350 super camper special ranger xlt I am wondering if the truck is able to pull a 2012 montana fifth wheel(model 3625) the trailer has a dry weight of 12700lbs it says in the trucks specs that it is rated for 10000 lbs does this mean that that it can carry this weigh in the box or is it towing capacity.
