Unhappy Looking for help

My 72 F100 Bump side with a 302 has a heating problem. It doesn't produce enough heat. The problem is that during cold weather, I cannot get much heat from the heater. Fan blows fine, lots of air. Heater core is brand new, with no restrictions. Thermostat is new - actually the second new one. Temp at the thermostat housing is 190 deg. Heater hoses are new, except for the bypass hose. If it is less than 40 deg., my entire 20 minute ride to work is cold. Any help is appreciated!!

Did You reverse the hoses to the heater core when You reconnected them. I have done that and no heat until I switched them around that was on an 67 300 6

This is a common problem with bump side trucks. The first thing to check is the temp control valve in the heater hose on the passenger side. They will sometimes LOOK like they are working, but the lever is broken inside the housing. Take the valve off and make sure the lever is still connected to the "gate" inside the valve.
