recently got an 01 f250 the po powder coated the bumpers and they look great but the grill looks like a 5 min rattle can job very rough an dull. i have a few ideas for the front end but would like opinons/suggestions
1. sand and repaint stock grillee
2. same as above plus 05 style headlights
3. 05 headlights and 05 (cut) grille
i really like th 05 look but only see chrome ones and i donno how a chrome grille would look with my all black truck, so let me know what a think or suggest
I'd repaint the grille. It's a never ending battle with painted front end, and a chrome grille would look silly with everything else blacked out. The 05+ headlights would look good, but smoked 05+ lights would look better...
Nice looking rig! looks like mine, only a SRW. I was wanting to do a black OEM grill as well.
I say put a 2005+ grill on it painted black and some 2005 smoked headlights. Just me stupid opinion though. Lol
(Just be sure to prep the grill properly and apply a very good adhesion promoter such as House of Kolors AP01. This will assure that the paint will stick. Chrome does not like to be painted.
thanks guys i was deff thinking smoked headlights, the tails are smoked. and roverjoe sent me a link to a factory blakc 05 grill so im gonna go with black with smoked 05 lights just gotta decide on the grille style hard chose lol
hmm i donno i think that powder coat need to be applied with the use of an electric current to get it to apply smoothly before baking and i donno if that or the baking would work with plastic

Hey man that link I sent you is actually the black 05 grille conversion kit to fit the 99-04.
Also, you can't powdercoat plastic. I think somebody mentioned this before but you need to use an adhesion promoter. We use adhesion promoter + 2 stage urethane paint.
